What we're building.
The goal is to cover the whole FPV drone, starting with the basics: flight controller, ESC, receiver, frame, motors and video. This page shows where each product stands.
Planned6
No design yet, on purpose. We name it early so the community can step in and help design the hardware they are interested in contributing to.
In progress1
A first design exists and prototypes may already be ordered, but nothing is under test yet. Where the product has a page you can preorder it toward a funding target; the product page shows the target and the deadline.
Alpha7
Prototypes are built, and community testers and firmware maintainers fly them. Where the product has a page you can preorder it; the product page says whether it ships from a paid production batch or after a funding target. Every batch ships the design shown on its product page at the time of order.
Beta4
Launched, first production batch. You can buy it in the shop, early-batch pricing can be lower, and the design can still get updates between batches.
Launched0
In the shop and settled. The design has stopped moving; buy it and it will not change under you.

How this works
Everything starts as a conversation on the OpenDrone Discord: what the market needs, which specs make sense, what can realistically be produced. Agreeing before anyone draws is the point. It stops two people building the same thing, and it kills bad ideas before someone spends weeks on a layout. When you want to do more than talk, the contributing page is the manual.
What you want next
Tell us on the OpenDrone Discord which of the planned and in-progress projects on this board you want next. What the community asks for steers our priorities; engineering reality can still overrule it, and when it does we say so instead of silently dropping a project.
Tell us what OpenDrone should design next: vote on Discord.
